Surgery, TV, etc.

So surgery's all done with. Gallbladder's been removed.
Surgeon took forever to get started. We were there at noon Thursday. Surgery was supposed to start at 2. Guy didn't show up until close to three. They wheel me back, then they have to go find him again, and while they were looking for him the anesthesiologist had wandered off. They knocked me out about 3:30 or so. I was out by 4:30 then they kept me until 7:30 because I was dizzy and throwing up. Also, very pale according to others. I have a feeling a lot of that was from the florescents since I've had problems with those before. Need to make an appointment with a neurologist one of these years to get that squared away.
Feeling much better today. Was really nauseous the day of and a bit the day after but that's mostly gone now. Stomach's sore, which isn't surprising. Moving around pretty good. Only difficultly is in getting up and down. Once I'm sitting or standing it's fine, but the transition hurts a bit. Barely slept Thursday night, got a bit in two or three hour shifts. Slept on the couch last night since lying down made my chest hurt. Of course, that meant Lestrade (my rat) had to rearrange EVERYTHING and bang her food bowl around most of the night.
Got Lortab (aka Vicodin) and Advil for the pain, which hasn't been too bad so far. TV keeps showing commercials for food I want but can't have. I'm really, really craving mac 'n cheese, which is off limits for a bit. Got up to soup and oatmeal today, taking things slow to get my stomach used to food again.
NCIS:LA
I love how Callen and Sam are the perfect married couple in this show. The part in last week's episode where Callen walks up and Sam just knows he's car sick made me flail so hard. They're just the perfect understated couple where their relationship is so close and so normal that it's just a part of them and it's wonderful. I love both the actors (I may have a slight love for the Disney version of Three Musketeers with Chris O'Donnell.) and they play off each other so well.
Fringe
I was all "ooo, Robert/Lincoln/Robert's wife = new OT3" and then... >.> So now I'm pondering the merits of Lincoln and non-married alternate!Robert. I love Agent Lee. He was always part of my favorite bits with the alternate universe.
Fringe keeps surprising me how they take the show and then take it a step to the right and make it all work. First it was a show about strange things happening. Then they introduced the parallel universe (with zeppelins!!! zeppelins!) and that was a giant WOW moment. I loved the run of episodes that jumped back and forth between the worlds. And now, there's the whole world without Peter Bishop arc which I'm loving.
I love cop dramas, but what I really love about Fringe is that they took it beyond a normal cop drama and it keeps getting better and better.
Thundercats
I feel like every episode is 'Lionel does something stupid and spends the rest of the episode fixing it'. I'll keep watching, just in case it gets better, but it's starting to annoy me with predictability. At least the animation's pretty.
Harry's Law
I miss Malcolm, but I love Oliver and Cassie so it's kind of more win than lose. I'm waiting to see the dynamic that builds between Adam and Oliver. They hate each other for now, which is like prime relationship starter material for me. Is there slash for this? There needs to be slash for this. If not, I think I need to make some. So far this season has been non-stop. High tension. High cases. I'm loving it. I really like the new office dynamic with Harry and Tommy Jefferson sharing an office. It creates delicious tension. Also, I love how BAMF Cassie is. Strong females, especially strong females of color are always win in my book.
Suburgatory
I love this show so much, and it got picked up for a full season! Been trying to get my twin to watch it, since the writing is just phenomenal and it's pretty much everything I loved about Easy A drawn out in half hour chunks. There are so many good jokes in this show, visual and verbal. For example, my favorite part of the episode was where Tessa needs to pick an extracurricular, so the guidance counselor is showing her through the activities - stock broker club, flat ironing, "drama" club which involves three blonde chicks (Kenzie, Kaitlyn, and Kimantha) arguing over boys.
